California Assemblyman Mike Briggs, R-Fresno, announces his Assembly Bill 1094, Friday, March 16, 2001, seeking state funding for Fresno Rail Consolidation. The Briggs bill is the first bill ever introduced regarding Fresno rail consolidation of the two Fresno railroads.

                              FARRC visits Sacramento

On April 16, 2001, Chairman Ferdinandi and Tom Bailey travelled to Sacramento to testify before the Transportation Committee of the state legislature.  Chairman Ferdinandi also videotaped a 15 minute segment with Assemblyman Briggs to be aired locally on Cable Channel 14 during a future edition of  "Capitol Update."   The topic of discussion was, of course, "Rail Consolidation."  After the taping, Chairman Ferdinandi and Webmaster Tom Bailey were treated to a personal tour of the Assembly Chambers by Assemblyman Briggs
